Stingy

One of my newest obsessions are Lazy Town memes. I was aware of the show's existence and knew about the popularity of the "Pirate Song", but my interest all began in the November of 2016 when I first saw a meme/remake of "We Are Number One" which raises money with the viewings and gives the link to help the actor who played Robbie Rotten because he has cancer. It is very nice and probably the most noble use of a meme's popularity, but beyond the 'heartfelt meme', I ventured into the deep meme universe of Lazy Town... And out came Stingy.

Stingy is the best fucking thing ever.
And his song, the "Mine Song", is... is... I don't fucking know.
It is my favorite Lazy Town meme probably because it's so utterly bonkers and random.

I mean, Lazy Town overall is a very weird and trippy looking thing, but it's still innocent and the other songs I've seen at least have a purpose or a point.
"We Are Number One" is simply a villain song about Robbie Rotten instructing his bumbling henchmen.
"Cooking By The Book" is just that, a song about cooking and following the recipe.
The "Pirate Song" is also exactly just that, a kid-friendly song about being pirates and it was part of Robbie Rotten's plan in the episode.

...What is the "Mine Song"?

It's just about Stingy going around and proclaiming random things near him to be his.
And is there a context? ...No. There is NO fucking context to the song!
In the episode where it came from is basically just a flashback thing, so we might as well just assume that one day Stingy was overtaken by his kleptomania and began to say that everything is his in some kind of psychotic episode. It's SO fucking batshit insane and utterly stupid I can't help but love it, and the goofy design of Stingy's puppet, the stoned-as-fuck expression and his voice all just escalate the hilarious WTF aura of this meme. I love it.
